This Dixon Valve FM1515F hex nipple fitting is a short length of pipe with threaded ends for connecting threaded pipes, and it has a hexagonal section in the middle for an increased bearing surface when adjusting the fitting with a wrench. It is made of brass for resistance to corrosion. This female-to-male hex nipple has a 1-1/2'' female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded connection on one end and a 1-1/2'' male National Standard Thread (NST) or National Hose (NH) connection on the other. This hex nipple fitting is suitable for use in general firefighting applications.
