Overview

The Nikon P600 brings you closer to the action with superb image quality. Its 60x optical zoom lens delivers sharp telephoto shots, while its 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom lets you extend your range to capture minute details. An enhanced lens-shift Vibration Reduction delivers unparalleled sharpness even at full zoom. Finding the best angle for your photos is a breeze with the vari-angle screen. It’s a high-performance camera that lives up to your most challenging creative vision.

Be farther. See closer

Capture stunning panoramas and dramatic close-ups with its 60x optical zoom (24mm – 1440mm in 35mm format equivalent). With the 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom* (2880mm equivalent in 35mm format), you can extend your reach for unsurpassed super-telephoto shots. Super ED glass lens elements ensure superior image quality at any range.

* Dynamic Fine Zoom refers to the areas in which the camera can zoom while maintaining resolution from the maximum optical telephoto zoom position.

Versatility at its best

The Nikon P600 features new Bird Watching and Moon scene modes that perfectly complement super-telephoto zooming. Whether you're shooting high-precision birds in flight or high-contrast shots of the moon, simply use these new functions for crisp images without any complicated camera settings.

Shoot subjects that move you

The high-performance lens-shift Vibration Reduction reduces camera shake to give you an effect similar to a shutter speed of 3.5 stops faster. Simply put, you gain the flexibility of a slower shutter speed even at 60x zoom. For shooting in motion, ACTIVE mode further enhances vibration reduction for blur-free images. A short release time lag and fast autofocus ensure you never miss a moment.

Looks great. Feels even better.

The Nikon P600 features the quality feel of a D-SLR while remaining compact. At just 565g (including battery and SD memory card), it’s perfect to carry around. The aesthetics of the camera emphasizes its smaller form, while the rear grip ensures a secure hold.  Available in black and red, it’s the perfect combination of style and performance.

Total comfort. Total control

The Nikon P600 offers superior operability. In manual focus, the center of the shot is enlarged to help you fine-tune the focus. Exposure settings are clearly displayed on screen. A new Peaking feature highlights the focus area, making it easier for you to decide which parts to focus on and which parts to blur.

Artistry made easy

COOLPIX Picture Control helps you set your preferences according to the subject and situation. Choose from Standard Neutral, Vivid and Monochrome to give your pictures a unique look. You can also create one-of-a-kind images by overlaying up to three separate images with the Multiple Exposure feature.

Indulge your inner moviemaker

The Nikon P600 is every budding filmmaker’s delight. Shoot Full HD movies with stereo sound in 60i/50i formats. Zoom in or out while you record. Make stills from your movies and edit your video right from the camera. The autofocus easily tracks moving subjects. You can also lock the Auto Exposure when the brightness changes drastically while recording.

Share your inspiration

Share your images and movies* instantly with built-in Wi-Fi®. A Wireless Mobile Utility App for iOS and Android devices lets you transfer your work wirelessly. You can even use your device to remotely control your camera so you can be in the shot.

* Wireless transfer of videos is available only on the Android OS.

Features Explained

Unprecedented close-ups with 60x optical zoom super-telephoto capability

Explore the farthest reaches of imaging power. The NIKKOR lens offers 60x optical zoom from 24 mm* wide-angle to 1440 mm* telephoto, and using Dynamic Fine Zoom provides amazing 120x** zoom capability without compromising the high resolution. New Scene modes such as Moon mode and Bird-watching mode let you easily take beautiful lunar and bird shots without complicated settings.

*35mm format equivalent.
**Magnification as calculated from the full-wide end of optical zoom.

Advanced Vibration Reduction

High-performance lens-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) provides an effect equivalent to a shutter speed 3.5 stops faster* for a steady picture even in the extreme telephoto range, and is equipped with ACTIVE mode to further minimize camera shake when shooting from a moving vehicle or while walking.

*Based on CIPA standard, measured at approx. 350 mm (35mm format equivalent).

Exceptional quality comes from advanced technology

Working in concert to deliver high-quality images even when it’s dark are the Backside illumination CMOS image sensor, NIKKOR lens using Super ED glass for a substantial improvement in chromatic aberration reduction, and the EXPEED C2 image-processing system. This image quality delivers exceptional photos as well as realistic and smooth Full HD 1080/60i movie recording.

Compact designed for full-fledged photography

This camera is equipped with an RGBW LCD monitor for high visibility even outdoors. Its vari-angle design enables you to compose your shot at various angles. Details such as the electronic viewfinder, Side zoom control, enhanced grip, and Function button boost operational flexibility and comfort.
