Tip: Additional detail can be added to the facial features if required.

1.Open the mouth slightly to create a smile, or singer.

2.Change the chin slightly to give a slightly rouned or pointed shape.

3.Extra paste can be added to the face after it has dried to obtain greater character.

Head and Body:

1.Take a small piece of paste and press formly with the fingers into the face area.

2.Continue to use the fingers to ease the paste up the sides of the mould, until the face is covered.

3.Mould a ball of paste and place into the mould to completely fill in the head shape and the body.

4.Mould and fill the back half of the mould and for the best results slightly overfill the mould.

5.Lightly dampen both surfaces with water and press the two halves of the mould together, using the

location points to position and secure.

6.Firmly holding the paste at the bottom of the mould ,remove the top of the mould so that you can

ensure that all of the facial features are complete.

7.Using a craft knife remove any excess paste around the figure, taking care not to cut into the moulded shape.

8.If all of the detail has not been achieved, the mould can be carefully replaced, pressed firmly again

and the excess paste trimmed once more.

9.Remove the fogure from the mould lifting from the base and support the head and neck, whilst trimming any remaining.

10.Use a flower leaf/ veining modelling tool to gently smooth the seam.

11.Gently move the head and body into the required position e.g. tilting the head.

12.To give added support and help when joining the parts of the body together, insert a cocktail stick from

the base of the body up into the head, leaving the end of the cocktail stick protruding at the waist.

13.Insert a wire or cocktail stick across the shoulders leaving both ends to support the arms.

14.Place to dry.
