"Beautiful world" "Maki-e" is traditional art technique of Japan. This technique have over 1,500 years history. This "Hira Maki-e" is relatively simple and standard technique (just among "Maki-e").
What's "Hira Maki-e" ? The procedure is very delicate. First, craftman paint Urushi on the pen some times. Second, they draw picture by "Iro Urushi (have color)" or "Ki Urushi (transparent Urushi)". After this, gold powder are been sowing on the picture. After this procedure, paint Urushi on the picture again (only on the picture) and polished. So, the surface become plain (Hira).
