What is oyster extract?
Oysters have been referred to as “the milk of the sea”, or “shucked fruits of the sea” in the west, and “unpolished sea rice” in Japan. Oyster extract is concentration of nutritional components of oyster. Oyster is rich in amino acids, taurine, adenosine, glycogen, mineral and high in protein.
What is Zinc?
Zinc is a mineral, an essential trace element that is an important structural component of more than 200 types of enzymes involving protein synthesis. As our body has no natural way to store zinc, it is therefore important to ensure we are getting our daily dose.
The good news is zinc is naturally found in a great variety foods particularly oysters, red meat and poultry, animal livers, egg yolk, and available as supplement. Most people get enough zinc from the foods they eat. But certain groups of people are more likely to have trouble getting enough of it, particularly people who adopt instant foods, fast-foods as their daily meals, people who undergo extreme weight-loss programme, vegetarians who do not eat meat, which is a good source of zinc.
