GLA is a fatty acid that suports a healthy inflammatory response.* GLA has been shown to be important for lung, joint, and eye health.* Although the body can manufacture GLA from dietary linoleic acid, it can be more efficiently utilized for body functions when supplied directly by dietary sources. Through its role in normal immune system function, GLA helps to maintain the integrity of the skin barrier and supports a healthy vascular system. Research has determined that Borage Oil does not contain harmful levels of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids (PAs).  The Borage Oil in this product is expeller-pressed and hexane-free.
