Tillandsia Ionantha is one of the more popular and sought after tillandsia. This specific word ionantha is taken from the Greek adjective, ion, meaning ‘violet’, and the noun, anthos, meaning ‘flower’. One of the best aspects of the Ionantha air plant is that it is a very hearty and durable plant, that will require little attention compared to some other varieties of air plants. Found from Mexico to Central America. It is popular in cultivation as a result of it being small, attractive and easy to cultivate. Groups of plants can develop into dense clusters of rosettes by the production of offsets, forming large beautiful clumps in a ball like look. We have a low-nitrogen NPK (Nitrogen-Potassium-Phorsphorus) formulated fertiliser to help your air plants thrive. It help to promote growth, bloom and offset production for your air plants.
Comes in 2 packaging; Small ( app. 150 gm) and Medium (app. 400 gm)
Applications :
Diluted 1 teaspoon of fertiliser into 1 litre of water. Mist the solution to the plant once a month on top of your regular watering. Do not over do with the fertisliser as can cause plant to suffer from nitrogen burn if overuse.
Our air plant fertiliser can also be used for other bromeliad and orchids plants.
