The light of a warm breezy summer day in Fireman's Park or a nippy October night in Halloween to a snowy moon lit landscape with skaters having fun in Farm Pond. Spring is in the air in The Tree House. When Mary was a child， scenes spun from stories she heard on the radio inspired her to draw. Later as a city girl who fell in love with a man from a small town who had inherited his grandfather's country general store， Mary came to know small town life in the picturesque bluffs of Camp Douglas in central Wisconsin. Mary Singleton's other works include large scenic murals of Germany including Lichtenstein Castle and the majestic Rhine water way for the Dorf House in Roxbury， and the Heilemann Brewery in Lacrosse Wisconsin. Mary has also created a large mural at the Mauston Hospital with buildings from old Mauston and her work may be seen at Target Bluff Restaurant in Camp Douglas. The covers of Wisconsin Country Life magazine have been featuring Mary's paintings since 1991. The Lang Company offers Christmas cards and calendars featuring Mary's paintings. From her Studio in the Woods she continues to be inspired by the remembrances of idyllic daily life of small town America.
