When designing a high quality umbrella that will keep customers satisfied for years to come, it''s very important to focus on all of the little things that add up to a great umbrella. Here are some of the details we considered:
Getting a Handle on Quality
Many of the compact umberellas for sale now use rubberized plastic for a grip. This is a popular feature as it makes the handle easier to hold. The problem with it is that many umbrellas are left in a car or other hot environment. This will cause the rubberized material to rapidly degrade and become sticky. Our umbrellas use a hardened plastic handle with a recessed open button to ensure a long operating life and prevent the umbrella from accidently being opened.
A Stronger Frame
Our umbrellas use a durable stainless steel shaft to prevent bending or damage to the open/close mechanism. While most ''windproof'' umbrellas only use 7 ribs, our umbrellas have 9 for greater strength. We also use the best combination of rib materials. A stainless steel inner section is reinforced with hardened plastic at stress points. The outer portion of our ribs is made with a fiberglass composite which allows a greater degree of damage free bending if the umbrella is subjected to especially fierce gusts of wind.
A Better Fabric
Our 210T canopy fabric is completely waterproof and very, very tough. We''ve also added a special ''hydrophobic'' fabric coating which causes water to bead and slide off the umbrella. This makes drying the umberella as easy as giving it a quick shake before stepping inside. Finally, with an eye to safety, our umbrellas have reflective strips added to the corners.
