Product Description
This new generation of BioPellets combines three vital water-cleaning functions into one media: phosphate, nitrate, and nitrite removal. This is accomplished through biological, mechanical and chemical filtration processes all working together in the biopellets. We have also made microscopic structural changes to make the biopellets more porous, providing up to 100 times more surface areas, vastly improving the nitrite and nitrate removal capabilities. ReefApex BioPellets are made of high purity ingredients to ensure 100% safety to tank inhabitants. Capable of stabilizing phosphate level to below 0.05ppm, and bringing nitrate and nitrate down to undetectable levels within two weeks of usage, the benefits are clear: • No more red slime nuisance algae • One single reactor, no more expensive GFO media and reactor • Less frequent water changes • Healthier and happier tank inhabitants Dosage: For every 100 litres of aquarium water, use 100ml of ReefApex BioPellets. Replenish as needed every 3 months as biopellets are consumed by bacteria over time. The frequency of replenishment is primarily dependent on bio-load and feeding regime. Equipment: Fluidized reactor: Select a reactor with a canister that can hold at least as much as 2 times the volume of the total dosage of biopellets so there is room for tumbling. The feed pump should be able to generate a flow rate equal to 3 to 4 times the size of your tank, i.e., for a 500-litre (130-gallon tank), adjust the pump flow rate of 1500-2000L/h. Protein Skimmer: Water flowing out of the biopellet reactor should enter a protein skimmer to remove excess biofilms. How to use: Step 1: Take out half of recommended dosage, and soak in aquarium water for 24 hours before putting the pellets into the fluidized reactor to tumble. Direct water flow towards a protein skimmer. Step 2: After one week, add the other half of soaked biopellets into the reactor.Feature
