Product details of Lancome Blanc Expert Cushion Compact High Coverage SPF 50 / PA ++ 13g Refill Pack
A miracle of technology Behind Blanc Expert Cushion lies the ground-breaking synergy of a sensorial fluid, an airy cushion and a soft insulating applicator. Perfection is finally within your reach! The power of light: its formula is enriched with pine extract, known for its depigmenting properties. The complexion is left radiant, illuminated with transparent perfection. The moisturising duo: the association of an emollient agent, ester oil, and glycerine improves skin’s water content, leaving it softer and smoother. 4-hour hydrating action for skin’s well-being and comfort*. Visibly smoother skin: the polymer’s gel texture combines with the pigments’ coverage for a blur effect. Pores and surface imperfections are reduced, as though minimised. Skin texture is visibly more even. Visibly younger skin: the formula is enriched with adenosine, known for its anti-wrinkle properties. Skin is left more luminous and smoother, as though rested. Photo-protection: with SPF 50PA++ to protect the complexion from UVA and UVB, to help prevent the formation of age spots and the signs of sun-related photo-ageing. As fine and silky as a serum, the formula is concentrated in water and enriched with volatile oils acting as a source of moisture and freshness. On skin, it evaporates in a delightfully refreshing frisson, leaving nothing, but a corrective colour veil and an intensely cool caress.

Lancome was one of the first western brands to launch their cushion foundation, and even had 8 shades (vs the Korean pioneers who generally only had 2-5 shades). I guess having the early-bird advantage does help – while the other brands like YSL and Biotherm are just churning out their first version, here’s V2.0 of Lancome’s Cushion Compact, this time, with high coverage.

Texture/Finish: It’s said to be velvety in its promotional materials – I wouldn’t call it a complete matte finish but it is indeed a more matte version of its predeccesor. It’s certainly less dewy and there’s less shine. It gives a medium-high level of coverage (yes, concealer is still needed for the dark eye circles), but blemishes such as the pesky pimples on my face area sufficiently covered up. It goes on with a cooling sensation, but very quickly settles into a mostly-matte finish. There’s a bit of dewiness when you view it from certain angles, which means areas like your nose bridge, cheek bones and chin will have a subtle shine. However, there’s none of that streakiness you get when you apply those overly-moist cushions.
