The Urbane 2nd Edition is brand new and has a bigger P-OLED screen at 1.38in compared to 1.3in for the Urbane. The resolution is increased from 320x320 to 480x480 giving a decent 348ppi. That’s the highest resolution of any current smartwatch.

The watch’s 44.5mm diameter is quite large, but dimensions are smaller than the original Urbane (see below). This allows a bigger capacity battery at 570mAh. This is necessary to cope with the increased power demands of cellular connectivity: the Urbane 2 has a SIM and can use 4G, 3G or Wi-Fi or to connect directly to the internet which frees you from needing to carry your phone everywhere to get notifications and to use apps.

There are now three buttons on the right hand side instead of just one at the 3 o’clock position. They provide quick access to apps, contacts and LG Health. The crown button can be used to enable or disable ambient mode and there’s a power saving mode to help the watch last all day.

As with all Wear watches, there are apps for Android and iOS, but beware that functionality is severely limited in iOS, so it's far better to pair it with an Android phone, or use the watch's LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity.
