Expandable design allows trimmer guard to fit various post sizes, but the position of the seam will vary based on the post size (See picture three for reference). Not only will this trimmer guard strengthen and secure your post base but it will also protect it from the weather, rust, lawnmower and weed eater damage! Each package comes with self-tapping screws that easily penetrate the aluminum (without pre-drilling) and securely fastens the guard to the post. Each piece has 2 pre-drilled holes to keep the screw in place while insuring uniform screw spacing. The guards can also be used to protect fence and deck posts.
