From the producer: 3M sterry strip reinforced adhesive skin closure is trusted by convenience, simplicity, living body-friendly design, has become the world standard of skin closure.
Sterri strip skin closure is made of porous nonwoven material, reinforced with strong filament, hypoallergenic adhesive is used.
Sterri strip skin closure has been adapted for medical treatment as a skin closure device in the treatment of lacerations and surgical incisions.
It is also used in conjunction with suturing and stapling of the skin, and also supports scarring after removal of them.
How to use: 1. Wash affected area and dry it.
If necessary, thinly apply a benzoin tincture agent to strengthen the adhesion of the strip.
2. Remove the card and card end tab.
3. Grasp the edge of the strip and lift the strip straight up from the card.
4. When using as a skin closure device, with no skin suture or staple, use fingers or forceps to line up from the edge of the affected area.
Paste the strip securely without pulling the strip over the scratch more than necessary.
5. Distribute tension to large scratches.
Space should be approximately 3 mm (1/8 inch) apart.
6. In addition, the closure can be applied to about 12 mm (1/2 inch) from the end of the closure parallel to the wound.
This can reduce shear forces under both ends of the strip.
