The 2 in 1 Earth and Constellation Globe is a dual functioning globe with a day-time and night-time view. It has an antique finish and a metal stand and base, ideal for decorating a house. Also an excellent educational gift to entertain and inspire children. Globe diameter: 8.5 inches / 21 cm. Product dimension: 8.5 x 9 x 12.2 inches / 21 cm x 23 cm x 31 cm approximately. In the daylight, the globe shows political borders, natural features, capitals and major cities with a map scale of 1: 60,000,000. When the surrounding area is dark, the globe will transform into a beautiful glowing globe showing the star constellations and key stars with their Latin and common names. The night-time view can be activated either by the built-in sensor or the override switch. Power options: 1) Batteries. Requires 4 x LR14 batteries (C Cell, NOT included). 2) Off mains electrics through a Micro USB adaptor (adaptor and cable NOT included). A Micro USB socket is available at the bottom of the globe.
