Plant Description:

M. jalapa native to the tropical South America, prefers warm climates. This plant does best in full sun and can grows to approximately 1m in height. The single-seeded fruits are spherical, wrinkled and black upon maturity. The plant will self-seed, often spreading rapidly if left unchecked in a garden.

Each flower can have multiple colours and flowers with different colours can be found simultaneously on the same plant.

Growing from seed:

Seed spacing of at least 40 cm and sow at a depth of about 1 cm. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 25°C to ensure good germination.
