After checking online I decided to order a new one through Walmart that evening. (The ordering process was easy to follow.) I was informed it would arrive Jan. 6. The next day the confirmation from Vir Ventures said to expect arrival on Dec. 30. However, on the morning of Christmas Eve day (Dec. 24) I found the clock on my doorstep, well-packaged, and the contents in perfect condition. It is licensed by Audubon with expertly recorded sounds. However, the birds are now different from the older version which is no longer in production. (When the back of the box is removed one has a permanent record of the bird for each hour and background on its habitat and distribution area in the USA.) Clock setting instructions are clear and concise. The choice to order from Walmart was determined after an Amazon shipped product (also identical) was recd with defective functionality and had to be returned.
