Weasel (Civet) coffee, is one of the world's most expensive and low production varieties of coffee. It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by Vietnam Civet and other related civets. There's a smart animal called "Weasel" in highlands of middle part of Vietnam. They naturally like to eat the most ripening and sweetest coffee cherries. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acid. Passing through a civet's intestines the beans are then defecated, keeping their shape. Every other day coffee workers collect the complete coffee beans by their experiences, then after cleaning and drying, the workers roast them meticulously. Because of combining with Weasel's digestive enzymes, this kind of coffee is created as "The Weasel Coffee" having not only unique but also impeccable flavor.

How to brew Vietnamese Weasel Coffee

What you need:

i) Our ground Weasel Coffee Powder
ii) Cup
iii) Phin (Vietnamese coffee filter)

1)  Pre-heating the cup with a little hot water, place the Phin on top of the cup.

2) Take out the insert then load about 2 teaspoons of our Weasel Coffee Powder and make sure it is spread evenly.


3) Put the insert back and then pour in a little hot water (a couple of tablespoons) to moisten and swell the coffee.  

4) Wait about 20 seconds, and pour in one cup of water that is just about to boil into the Phin.

5) The process of brewing should take about 3~4 minutes.

6) Once the filter is empty, remove the filter and enjoy our Weasel Coffee.

(Optional) You may add in condensed milk, sugar as you prefer.
