Description
All sharks are fishes that have streamlined body, a full cartilaginous skeleton and five to seven gill slits. The great white shark is one of well known shark. Its scientific name is Carcharodon carcharisa, also called white pointer, white shark, or white death, which is about 6 m (20 ft) long and weighs up to 2250 kg (5000 lb). Even the great whiye shark is already the largest known predatory fish in the world, but its prehistoric relative "Megalodon" was much bigger, which was up to 16m (52 ft) long with a body mass of about 448 tons. Sharks have existed in the world over 350 million years, but grest white shark is the onlu surviving species of its genus, Carcharodon.

Undoubtedly the great white sharks are carnivorous fishes. They eat fishes, dolphins, seals and whale carcass; sometimes they even eat sea turtle as well. The white shark can be found in most temperate coastal waters throughout the world's oceans.

Unlike what the movie said, the great white sharks misconstrue the swimmers and surfers were seals.
