We think the design strength is weak
Standard attachment holder of AT9940 is a rubber connection for anti-vibration measures, but this is using this rigid holder because this will cause resonance when used with gimbals. You can attach it to the shoe by tightening the internal wood screws and pressing down the rings and pressing them guts. If you do not devise anything like that, it will drop off from the shoe very loosely and easily. I also think that all the internal wood screws, ring parts, screw threads etc are weak. AT9940 is about 140 g of microphone, but hopefully it is enough to fix this lightweight microphone. However, it is 23 grams and it is extremely lightweight, so there are no products that change to this, so it is useful.
It is a good product.
I have not been given the chance to use yet, so I can not rate it in detail.
Cost performance
I found it and found it, where the shoe part was broken and I was in trouble. It is cheap and there is no problem at all.
