This "atomic" or radio-controlled clock features a movement which includes a CPU and a radio receiver that is pre-tuned to the WWBV time signal broadcast by the U.S. government from Fort Collins， Colorado. The clock synchronizes with the signal and once it is decoded， the hands will automatically adjust to the correct time， providing up to the minute accuracy for all of your time-keeping needs. Once the clock has been set correctly by the radio signal， the clock's CPU operates continuously. To ensure accuracy， the clock syncs the position of the second and minute hands to the time calculated by the CPU every day. The clock will even automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time. Complete， easy-to-follow set up instructions included. The large 14 inch clock features a contemporary black frame with a translucent accent ring which creates a "floating" dial effect. Uses one (1) AA battery which is not included.
