Inline 2400 dpi LIDE technology

Adopted a color contact image sensor CIS that made full use of Canon's unique LIDE ride technology.

By making full use of the high resolving power of the equal-magnification optical system which is the characteristic of CIS, and further arranging the sensors in one line (in-line), one pixel is recognized by one sensor and interference between pixels is eliminated.

As a result, we achieved high definition of high resolution 2400 dpi.

"Backlight correction" of film realized, FARE Level 3

Canon's original image processing function that can make use of original film performance.

Level 3 has been added, a new "backlight correction function" has been added, realizing a beautifully broad reproductivity.

Correction work requiring complicated and advanced processing can also be executed automatically without troublesome setting.

Three levels of "weak" "standard" "strong" can be adjusted according to the state of the film.

35 mm film scan

By using the enclosed film unit, it also supports scanning of 35 mm film (sleeve state).

The film unit is equipped with infrared light LED for FARE (garbage scratch removal).

One-pass scan which performs infrared light scanning simultaneously with ordinary light enables quick scan even when FARE is on.

A variety of image compensation functions also available for paper-burning photos

Like a film scan, you can restore vividly one old piece in the album with a variety of correction functions.

Easy color matching printing

In conjunction with Canon's printer PIXUS, the color of the scanned document is better reproduced and printed out.

With the print button of "CanoScan Toolbox", simply set "Easy Color Matching Print" to ON, you can easily achieve advanced color matching output.

Faithful color reproduction, Adobe RGB compatible

Scanned data can be saved using Adobe RGB extended color space.

You can enjoy more faithful color reproduction printout in Adobe RGB compatible printing environment.
