- BY SHUI KUEN KOZINSKI. The Sun Ray Shawl is a top-down, triangular shawl in 2 mirror image sections. Ivy pattern has a 10 row repeat and Sun Ray pattern has a 20 row repeat ? all even number rows (wrong side return rows) are purled. The basic structure of the shawl is very simple. On the same row, the single decrease stitch is always in the same direction on one side (right) and mirror image on the other side (left). Therefore, it is a good beginner?s shawl.
- Experience: Intermediate (easy first lace shawl project)
- Sizing: 193 cm (76") wide at widest point by 91 cm (36") long at longest point, after blocking.
- Yarn Required: 600 m (654 yds) of worsted weight yarn (20 sts to 10 cm/4"). The yardage of every elann yarn is shown on its ballband. Simply divide the yardage per ball of elann worsted weight yarn into the yardage required for this pattern to determine the number of balls you'll require.
