PRODUCT NAME
ASC Audio Car Stereo Wire Harness and Antenna Adapter to install an Aftermarket Radio for some Ford
PRODUCT CODE: PROD1830114558
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Radio wire harness and antenna adapter for installing an aftermarket radio- Wire harness and antenna adapter plugs directly into the car- Vehicles with special features like steering audio controls, THX, DVD, etc that need to be retained will need other special adapters sold separately.
Very Important: Mostly all if not all vehicles will require running the ignition wire of the new radio separate from the vehicle harness to a 12 volt ignition source. This kit works with amplified systems and comes with the subwoofer retention harness also. Some vehicles might have subwoofer pop when turned on and will require the Metra AFDI-5V- a little trick we were told is to add a resistor in line of the power wire which will fix the issue also.
When replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket car stereo, a wire harness is a must for a quick installation. It eliminates cutting the OEM radio plug and helping to maintain your cars value. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will usually color-match and easily connect to the aftermarket stereo wire plug. Without a wiring harness, you will have to cut the factory wire harness and then test each wire to connect to your radio.
Compatible with: 2009 Ford Econoline, 2010 Ford Edge
