A romer is an orienteering tool to help you read maps quicker and more effectively.

It is to be used in tandem with a topographic map to calculate distances quickly and accurately.

The romer comes with the following features:

• A scale to convert a 1:25000 map into kilometers and meters
• A  scale to convert a 1:50000 map into kilometers and meters
• A scale to conver a 1:63360 map into kilometers and meters
• A scale to convert a 1:25000, 1:50000 and 1:63360 map into yards
• Bearings in mils
