    Because tungsten is much denser than lead, tungsten cylinders are ideal for weighting your pinewood derby car. Tungsten is the best weight for pinewood derby cars because it is about half the length of an equivalent lead weight and about a third the length of Zinc weights.

    Included are eight 0.5 oz tungsten cylinder weights for precision pinewood derby car weighting. The total weight of all 8 cylinders is 4oz.

    Each cylinder is 7/16" long and 3/8" diameter so you can use a standard size drill bit for the hole. You can pack more weight in a smaller area.

    Tungsten allows you to add weight exactly where you need it on your car. You can also remove more wood from your car, giving you complete car design freedom. Since you can pack more weight into a smaller area, you will have the freedom to design whatever car style you want.

    To install tungsten weights, just drill 3/8" hole(s) in your car where you want to put your weights, insert the cylinders and seal the hole with wood putty. Your weights are now sealed inside your car for a clean, finished look.
