- These are the sweet white onions famous raw on hamburgers and salads. Great for slicing and fresh eating! Also make very good fried onion rings and can be used in cooking where a mild onion flavor is desired.
- Generally grown as an annual to produce desired onions for eating. To produce seed for future years the bulbs need to be left in place and mulched heavily over winter and allowed to grow until the second summer when they will produce flowers and seed. Approx. 110 days to harvest
- Stratification: none required. Germination: sow indoors 2 months before the date of the last frost, can be sown outdoors in the fall for spring germination. sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
