The lavender oil that is distilled at at the Young Living farm in St. Marie's， Idaho， is quite unusual in both aroma and chemistry. If you could see the gorgeous， pristine land where it is grown， you would understand why I believe that this particular lavender oil is the most precious available anywhere. The farm is located about an hour from any town or city， the air is pure， the soil is virgin， and the water is very pure spring water.

For years， Young Living would add the St. Marie's lavender to our products. Every now and then， we would be able to get small amounts of it for our own use.

Gary Young always said that it was not economical for Young Living to package it separately because it was so expensive to grow and distill， but， repeatedly， we've asked him to make it available at a cost which would be fair to Young Living， even if it was substantially more than our regular lavender. The other challenge was that there was such a limited amount of this oil available that he was hesitant to add it to our product list. Once it's gone， it's gone for the year.
