Secret nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack

This is the Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack and the first mask you’re going to see me in. This is supposed to help control excess sebum and tighten enlarged pores. It’s also supposed to work for any skin type.

You’re supposed to apply this mask after toning and let it sit on your face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off. I let it sit on for the full 15. This was extremely difficult to spread on my face and it was also very difficult to remove. In the end, it was completely worth it though. It left my skin feeling very clean but not so much so that it stripped my skin. I can definitely see using this every couple weeks, more often if you have very oily or acne prone skin.

Best Face Mask

Doing a face mask every week is something that I always look forward to! In fact, I have a few face masks that I keep on rotation. But the face mask that has really been my favorite in 2014 is the Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack. This mask is great if you have big pores like me because it provides that deep cleansing action that leaves the skin feeling clean.

MINI REVIEW: SECRET NATURE VOLCANIC ASH PORE PACK

Today’s post is a mini review of an item I got from my Memebox Earth and Sea Cosmetics – the Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack. I was so curious about this product because the description sounded just like the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub that I just had to try it out that night. It turned out that while the Secret Nature mask is also a purifying product, it looks, smells, and works differently from the Innisfree mask. Check it out!

The first thought I had was “wow, that looks different.” Where the Innisfree mask is a pale brown color, the Secret Nature mask is dark grey with little black specks in it. The second big difference is the SMELL. The Innisfree mask has a faint, barely noticeable sweet scent, and the Secret Nature mask has a very strong smell to it. The product states it doesn’t contain any artificial fragrance, but it has an herbal scent that reminds me of Rosemary. It didn’t bother me much while it was on my face, but be forewarned if you can’t stand facial products with scent.

The Secret Nature mask works similarly to the Innisfree mask, but it’s like the Innisfree mask wasturned up to 11. It felt drying on my naturally dry skin, but my pores were CLEAN after I washed it off. Like, miraculous level clean. Unbelievable clean.
