This flat rectangular rasp is made by highly respected cutting tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from tool steel and then hardened to RC 45. The blades are stitched with a CNC machine which produces a uniform tooth pattern and height allowing for a steady removal rate and an even finish. This is considered a coarse cut rasp with 16 teeth per square centimeter. The handle is 5 3/4'' long, 1 1/2'' in diameter and has a solid brass ferrule. Handle is made hard and dense Hornbeam. Blade is 20 mm (13/16'') wide by 5 mm (3/16'') thick and 200 mm (8'') long. Overall length is 345 mm (14''). This is a well made rasp for a very reasonable price.
