I was able to use it before starting my day. I read the directions and applied to my skin in a circular motion rinsed, then dried. Next, I applied my makeup. Later, in the day I came home and cleansed my face using the L'oreal creamy cleanser. Both times after I used the product my face felt smooth and soft. It was easy to apply and rinse and it comes in a 5.0 fl. oz bottle.This product is for mature skin according to the tube descriptions as skin matures it loses moisture, nutrients and natural oils resulting in drier skin. This cream cleanser contains oils to replace what is lost on maturing skin. This product effectively removed all of my makeup leaving it clean, soft and smooth. Its dermatologist tested for gentleness, maturing skin and all skin types even sensitive. The use directions are every morning and evening lather into wet hands, gently massaging onto skin, avoiding the eye area, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Also, avoid contact with the eye area . If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. I felt this product was very nurturing to my skin and I will look for additional products from this line for maturing skin. It contains precious oils to replenish moisture and nutrients that mature skin loses. I used it morning and evening. The cream is thick so it does not take much to generate a lather in your wet hands for your face. You gently massage onto skin, avoiding the eye area, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. The fragrance smells like cucumbers to me, which is a clean, fresh smell. The only complaint I have is the cap on the tube won't close completely and the cream oozes out if you stand the tube upright. I like how it goes on smooth. It gently cleans my face without drying it out. I just had to use a little each time I washed my face as it lathers out thin. This cleanser was great for removing make up along with getting my face clean and making it feels so soft. After using it as a facial cleaner it does work as a facial moisturizer. I really like the creamy feel to it.
