Finely detailed 1/500 scale assembly model kit of the World War II Japanese Battleship Yamato. Yamato and her sister ship the Musashi were the largest battleships ever constructed, and she was the flagship of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto during the historic "Battle of Midway". Yamato was sunk by U.S. dive bombers and torpedo bombers during "Operation Ten-Go", a suicide mission to attack the U.S. fleet supporting the invasion of Okinawa on April, 1945.
