Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate

Unless otherwise directed by the physician, apply 3-5 cm of cream to the affected area once or twice daily and massage gently until the cream disappears. More cream may be used if necessary. In the case of very painful inflammation, or if there is evidence of thrombosis, Hirudoid cream should be applied thickly to the affected area and covered with gauze or lint. The effect of Hirudoid cream can be intensified in these cases by massaging the cream into the skin surrounding the affected area. To loosen and soften hard scars, the cream should be massaged vigorously into the scarred area. Hirudoid Cream should only be used on unbroken skin and should not be brought in contact with open wounds, the eyes or mucous membranes.

Antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory preparation for cutaneous treatment of inflammation of the veins such as thrombophlebits, haematoma and for loosening and softening of hard scars. Hirudoid forte cream contains Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate (organo-heparinoid luitpold) in the dose of 0.3g per 100g cream. By using Hirudoid the therapeutically valuable properties unfold their effects by the percutaneous route. Hirudoid cream accelerates the absorption of haematomas and swelling, inhibits the formation and further growth of superficial microthrombi. It has a high affinity to human tissue and is very well tolerated.
