My last one lasted 8 years before the battery died. By the time that happens the watch is showing wear and I just discard and by a new one. I've never had to adjust the time after the initial setting. I use the ringer, the alarm and the stop watch all the time. I check the time whenever I wake up in the night which is usually more than once. The indiglo light is awesome. Even though I wear glasses I can read the watch day time or night without my glasses. This is the best watch I've ever had and up until 25 years ago I only had expensive watches. Caution though! I only buy the nylon web band as the silicone rubber band well fail in about a year.
