Tone
Finetunes the compressed sound. Full range compression, when turned all the way down, less bottom at middle position and less treble when turned all the way up

Compression
Controls the amount of compression or sustain. Less touch sensitive response at higher settings

Controls the level of the sustained signal in sustain mode whereas in compression mode the overall volume is being affected
