They are 100% biodegradable and you can even drop them in the compost [plants love coffee/tea due to the high Ph].Pods are shaped like a shallow cup with lid. "Cup" measures 2 inches wide by .55 inches deep with a short lip for sealing to "lid". "Lid" has a .75 inch hinge and is wider in diameter than base for an easy seal. Lid diameter is 3 inches. Base is 2 inches.
