This carrying case has a water resistant zipper with fabric covering the zipper seam. For that reason the zipper on this case will be stiffer than others. Candle wax or lip balm makes a very good zipper lubricant. There is also a very good commercial lubricant by McNett that can be located by doing a search for B000GKFCUW.
