It doest burn at all but I wouldn't extend the use over 8mins . DO NOT SHAVE YOUR ARM PITS WITH THIS PRODUCT that yes will burn I used this product well over 9 times its my go to . It doesn't have a super strong smell which is a good thing. It doesn't work as quickly as the cream version but if you leave it on long enough and then rub off with a wash cloth, it does the job well enough.
