Product Description

Made in the USA with pride. Also known as battalion chiefs, fire captains are responsible for the command of several fire crews or companies and ensure their personnel are at peak operational readiness at all times.Because of their years of firefighting experience, captains take leadership roles during emergencies and at the scene of fires when called upon. The rank of captain or battalion chief is usually marked by the two bugle insignia. The bugle symbol evolved during the Civil War, where commanding fire officers issued orders through the use of large brass devices that resembled a megaphone and were commonly known as bugles. This coin salutes the skilled fire professionals who carry the rank of captain.
