The Cooper-Atkins 2560 dual-range digital thermometer is used for monitoring temperatures inside cold storage cabinets. It measures temperature from -22 to 122 degrees F (-30 to 50 degrees C), with an accuracy of or - 1 degree F ( or - 0.5 degrees C) from -4 to 50 degrees F (-20 to 10 degrees C) and or - 1.8 degrees F ( or - 1 degree C) outside this range. It hangs, stands, or can be mounted in a food storage zone to measure ambient air temperature. The Minimum/Maximum temperature memory function stores high and low readings, and it automatically updates temperature readings every 60 seconds. The ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic housing material has an anti-microbial additive to help deter bacterial growth, and it can be removed for ease of cleaning. The unit operates on a single 3V CR2032 lithium battery. The European Conformity (CE) marking indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives, and the NSF (formerly National Sanitation Foundation) listing indicates compliance with applicable safety standards. It is compliant with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards. It comes with a cable ties, a battery, and instructions.

Digital thermometers are instruments used to measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors made out of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and in doctors' offices and hospitals.
Cooper-Atkins manufactures time, temperature, and humidity instruments for industrial, HVAC/R, health care, and food safety applications. The company, founded in 1884, is headquartered in Middlefield, CT.
