The nylon hair can be used with heavier media such as oil, acrylic, and makeup, or with a lighter medium such as watercolor (or chalk taken from dry pastel). To allow for broad, medium, and detail art, shapes (as shown in photo) are pointed round/liner, filbert, bright, and angular flat.
FOR OIL, ACRYLIC, AND MAKEUP: The flatter and bigger brushes can be used with heavier media such as oil and acrylic. Because of the synthetic nylon hair material, the brushes can be used for makeup liquids and cream (foundation, concealer, etc) without trapping the makeup. As with any brush, we recommend cleaning the brush immediately after use with heavier media, especially with quick-drying acrylics.
FOR WATERCOLOR: All the brushes can work with watercolor, and the pointed round brush tips can be used to add detail to watercolor or mixed media work. This takes practice as our brushes do not conspicuously show the water currently held in the brush belly.
