Use a device that was invented in the 1600s to determine the temperature! Inside this large thermometer are glass bulbs of different densities. The density of liquid is proportional to its temperature, so as the temperature of the liquid changes, thus does its density, causing the glass bulbs to rise and fall according to their relative densities. Reading the temperature of the lowest glass bulb at the top of the thermometer gives a rough estimate of the surrounding temperature. Can also be used as an educational aid for a lesson on density. Measures approximately 1.3" diameter and 11" tall. Measures temperatures from 18 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius. This Thermometer also makes for a great decor piece any room. Great conversation piece. Made of glass with hydrocarbon, alcohol liquid.
