This Kurma mat was created in Germany by Claus Grzesch during the early 1990's. As a direct disciple of India’s foremost Yogacharya, B.K.S. Iyengar, he has been one of Europe’s most respected Iyengar yoga teachers and teacher trainers over the past 3 decades. As such, the Kurma Sadhana Lite is a high quality, high performance yoga mat recommended and used by yoga teachers for a safe and successful yoga practice.

It is the light version of the Kurma Sadhana and has a solid structure with a core and two surfaces which can be used interchangeably. The Kurma Sadhana Lite is designed to withstand the most advanced yoga practices for long stretches of time. These mats become more durable and their quality improves with constant use. With a weight of less than 2kg, the Kurma Sadhana Lite is an ideal companion for demanding yoga practices while travelling.
