High Performance Fast
and Bright Lens

Explore a world of creative options with the Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* lens. Designed to capture as much light as possible, this lens is exceedingly fast and bright. The newly designed optics include an Advanced Aspherical (AA) lens that helps to keep the camera compact, while providing supreme sharpness and contrast. Turn Your Videos Into Full HD Movies
The RX1 allows you to shoot Full HD movies at 50p/60p or 25p/24p (progressive) frame rates. Shooting at 24p gives everyday footage a
film-like quality and even in low light conditions you can achieve atmospheric video. The RX1 comes with a complement of PASM exposure modes to give you absolute creative flexibility when shooting video.
More Possibilities With Every Shot
You'll enjoy wider compositional possibilities with the Auto HDR and D-Range Optimiser, bracket shooting (Exposure, DRO or White Balance) and Auto HDR shooting modes. You can even achieve straight horizons or architectural shots using a Digital Level Gauge that indicates camera pitch and camera roll on the LCD screen. With memory recall (MR) mode, you can now store and instantly recall up to three sets of camera settings.
Processing Power For The Toughest Tasks
Processing raw images is an absolute breeze with the high-speed auto-focus of this compact camera. Even the most processor-intensive tasks can be completed with amazing speed and precision, thanks to Sony's sophisticated BIONZ™ image processing engine. You can count on it to deliver 5 fps continuous shooting, ISO 14-bit RAW format conversion and shooting up to ISO 102400 (which composites multiple images to reduce noise).

Give Free Reign To Your Creativity
Bring out the character of your shot effortlessly with the Creative Style modes like Portrait, Night Scene, Autumn Leaves, Black & White and Sepia. Or add artistic touches to your shots with Picture Effects like HDR Painting, High Contrast Monochrome, Posterization, Retro Photo and Soft Focus.
Professional Editing With No Loss Of Picture Quality
You'll be able to record images in the 14-bit RAW format ensuring that you'll get the best possible quality for later image adjustment. These RAW files can be developed, edited and managed to match your personal creative vision.
Managing And Editing Made Easy With PlayMemories™
The RX1 comes pre-installed with PlayMemories™ (Lite Edition) software, allowing easy transfer, management, editing and printing of all your images. You can also download the full version of PlayMemories™ Home for free, which provides movie editing and disc burning capabilities.
