Watersoluble Blocks Bring a New Sense of Freedom to Drawing and Painting

Derwent Inktense blocks are versatile, watersoluble, chunky blocks of vibrant ink-like color that bring a fresh perspective to your work. Use them to apply color directly to wet or dry paper or fabric and turn them on their side to cover larger areas. Dry, they deliver pure, vibrant color. Washed out, they become transparent, ink-like paint that can be worked over when dry. Inktense Blocks can also be used for rubber stamping and decoupage and are ideal for loose, expressive landscapes and colorful still lifes. They also can be used with fabric to create stunning silk paintings and quilts. They work beautifully with Derwent Inktense pencils.

Tips for Using Inktense Blocks:

1. Wash clean water over your board or paper before drawing with Inktense Blocks for a rich, flowing line.
2. Use the edges and points of your Inktense Blocks for superb calligraphic strokes.
3. Scrape some Inktense pigment using a craft knife into clean water to create vivid inks.
