This liquid extract made from the Certified Organic Calamus (Acorus calamus) dried root from Poland and Ginger (Zingiber officinalis) root from Peru. Calamus also known as Sweet Flag, Cinnamon Sedge, Sweet Myrtle, Acorus and Sweet Rush. The sharp-edged calamus is a perennial semi-aquatic plant that grows in marshes and on muddy banks of streams. Calamus contains bitters, asarone, calamene and related chemicals, eugenol and related chemicals. For preparation of extract we use the dried and chopped rhizome. Ginger Root (Zingiber officinalis) is the most widely used and available herbal remedy on the planet, with billions of people using it every day as both food and medicine. For centuries, Europeans obtained ginger form Arab spice traders, who protected their sources by inviting stories of ginger field located in lands stalked by a fierce people called troglodytes.
