So let’s talk about an incredible phenomenon I just witnessed over the weekend.

The Saturday before the last, I was wandering around Vivo City when I happened to notice this outside Candy Empire:

So I thought, wow, they’re selling Ovomaltine Crunchy Cream here now? So I went inside to take a look.

I was going to buy one but I had way too much stuff so I decided to come back some other time for it when I wasn’t so laden down with stuff.

The next week, I went back to Vivo City to collect my fixed camera and watch Gravity (blogs to follow) when I saw this:

OMG. Seriously, all the jars I saw just last week are gone?? :o

I went inside to check if maybe they were inside.

Nope.

It’s crazy, man. But it’s true. Here it is again:

I suppose I can’t blame the people for going nuts over it. I’ve tried it before.

I had bought Ovomaltine at the same time as the Lotus Speculoos Cookie Butter, buying them all from a store called German Marketplace somewhere near Botanic Gardens MRT.

It tastes like Ovaltine drink in spread form with crunchy chocolatey bits – heaven in a jar. I brought my friend Ngangi a jar of it the last time I went back to the Philippines and she loved it so much that she finished a quarter of the jar in one night.

That was the last time I bought it because it’s too far away from me. Too bad I wasn’t able to buy again this time but I guess it’s a blessing in disguise because I wouldn’t be able to resist it and probably eat everything in one sitting.
