The Truscope Sports Youth Sternum Shirt Heart Protector was developed to help prevent sports-related heart trauma and chest injuries to young athletes. Rather than design a chest protector to absorb the impact, this shield disperses impact energy to send it away from the chest cavity.

Unlike foam protectors, this heart protector uses PC8 Technology ? a hard, polycarbonate shield encased in soft elastomer that absorbs and redirects impact energy. Independent lab testing has shown that this shield reduced 40 mph impact injuries by an average of 53% - effectively reducing a 40 mph impact to only 19 mph.

Born from the latest research, the raised, 3-point shield helps protect the critical sternum from direct impacts. Impact at the center of the shield was further shown to reduce energy by a whopping 71% on average as well as 29% of the impact force to the shield’s feet.
