What is the eQua Towel made of?The eQua Towel is made of a proprietary microfiber material that is ultra-luxurious to the touch. The suede-like texture is on both sides and the microfiber fabric is comprised of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. The super absorbent, quick drying fabric is sheered and brushed for additional softness.
How do you care for your eQua Towel?Manduka recommends washing with cold water and like colors, tumble dry low or hang dry and do not bleach. They do not recommend using dryer sheets, fabric softeners or detergents with fabric softener, as they will make the surface of your eQua Towel slick.
They use dyes that are heavy metal/azo/lead free and much better for the planet, so deeper colors may require multiple, separate washings to remove excess dye. Some dye loss may continue beyond the initial separate washings, so use caution when practicing on light colored mats or in light colored clothing. Be sure to avoid rolling up a damp eQua Towel with your mat. As a note, it is possible for shrinking to occur if washed in warm water and/or dried in heat.
