Share Your Files From Anywhere

The ShareCenter™ + 4-Bay Network Storage Enclosure includes a web file server which allows you to download your documents, photos, and other multimedia files from wherever you are. Once configured, simply log into your ShareCenter using the friendly web user interface to view a list of available files. You can also connect with a mydlink Cloud mobile app to access and play music, watch videos, and view photos directly on your mobile device.

iSCSI for IP Networks

iSCSI offers exceptionally fast access performance thanks to block-level data transfer. iSCSI targets appear as a local drive on a client PC. Operations such as configuration, provisioning, and backup can be handled by the administrator in the same way they would be for directly attached storage. By utilizing existing Ethernet technology, the cost associated with separate host bus adapters and the per-Gigabyte cost for storage can be significantly reduced.

Powerful Performance and Flexibility

A variety of hard drive modes (Standard, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 5+spare, and RAID 10) are available for the configuration that best suits your needs. Standard mode creates four separately accessible hard drives. JBOD combines drives to create a single, easy-to-use volume. RAID 0 combines drives in a "striped” configuration, which provides maximum performance when using a Gigabit Ethernet connection. RAID 1 creates a copy of the data on your drives, providing maximum protection; if one drive fails, the unaffected drives continue to function as a single drive until the failed drive is replaced. Your data will automatically be copied to the new drive. RAID 5 uses an advanced algorithm to distribute data over multiple drives, and in the event of a drive failure, the remaining drives can reconstruct and restore the data from the failed drive. RAID 10 combines RAID 0 and RAID 1 into one single system. It provides security by mirroring all the data on a secondary set of disks while using striping across each set of disks to speed up data transfers.

Extend the functionality of your NAS by installing a wide variety of versatile add-on applications. With P2P applications, users have the ability to access a limitless collection of free content over the Internet. Users can use the SqueezeCenter and Audio Streamer applications to stream music collections from the NAS over the Internet. Photo Center, My Photos, and Blog add-ons let users showcase photos and blog posts over the Internet, while mydlink Cloud gives users a great way to share music and photos on a network. Versatile Surveillance

You can use your DNS-345 as a surveillance station for your D-Link Cloud Cameras, with up to 4 channels for live camera viewing, recording, and synchronized playback. It can record based on a schedule you define, and can even recycle recordings automatically for easy, continuous operation.

Easy Installation and Setup

The DNS-345 can hold up to four 3.5” internal SATA hard drives, and installing drives is as simple as pushing up the front plate and the sliding them in. A convenient USB port on the back of the ShareCenter can be used to attach a multifunction USB printer to share printing capabilities, or an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for extra reliability. You can also attach an external USB storage drive and use the one-touch backup function.
